Beginning Partner Dance at the Grange

Thursday Nights

Due to the virus outbreak and my family responsibilities. Kim

Partner dancing at the Skagit Valley Grange, 21273 Cook Road, Sedro-Woolley.

I teach a lesson 7:00-8:15, then DJ a variety of music for a variety of partner dances 8:15-10:00.  About 2/3 of the crowd comes to the lesson with a partner, and the other 1/3 rotate around dancing with each other.  Once the dance starts, everybody dances with everybody else.  Each month’s lesson focuses on a different dance and we work through it progressively throughout the month.  For the dance, I play music for all of the dances that I teach.

This group ranges from 60-100 people.

Directions: Take the Cook Road exit from I-5 north of Burlington.  Travel east just past District Line Road.  The grange is between District Line Road & Collins Roads

* Footwork and timing are taught the first week of each month.

The cost is $5 per person per night.

Barn Dance Feb. 14, 2013

In this photo the group is doing a fun mixer dance called the Barn Dance. We dance the mixer near the beginning of each dance. It’s a great way for the dancers to meet one another.
